For many evolutionists, February 12 is an annual celebration of the birth of Charles Darwin. Despite the fact that Darwinian evolution is devoid of scientific support, it has foisted itself upon the world with tragic consequences. Can a True American Be a True Darwinist

In 1859, Charles Darwin published his Origin of Species—which completely failed to live up to its title. Darwinism taught that "tooth and talon" were the instruments of securing superiority or ensuring "survival of the fittest." Every discipline of study—including theological studies—was infected with the "Might is right!" virus that suggested there is no God and no divine law.Can a True American Be a True Darwinist

Unlike Darwinists, America's Founding Fathers believed the source of human rights was not government, but God. They reasoned that the God who orchestrated the natural world also had a plan for the moral world of human government. So important was this idea that it obtained a place in the very first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence. They declared, "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

America's Fathers believed irreligion revoked a divine guarantee of human rights. During the American Revolution, Congress issued sixteen spiritual proclamations asking the Thirteen States to fast, pray, and give thanks to God. The ninth proclamation was issued on Saturday, March 11, 1780. In it, Congress made it clear that the intent of its members was "to banish vice and irreligion from among us, and establish virtue and piety by his divine grace" (Journals of the Continental Congress, 16:252-253).

Concerning this divine origin of human rights, Thomas Jefferson succinctly stated, "And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the gift of God?" (Notes on Virginia, 174-75) And, before falling into Deism, Thomas Paine wrote in Common Sense, "But where, say some, is the King of America? I’ll tell you, friend, he reigns above…"

President John Quincy Adams—a youth during the American Revolution—also noted the religious foundation of American government: "The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected, in one indissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity" (Address, July 4, 1821).

And, what is the legacy of Darwinism's godless government? Historian Paul Johnson assessed Darwin's impact: "In the twentieth century, it is likely that over 100 million people were killed or starved to death as a result of totalitarian regimes infected with varieties of social Darwinism...The truth is, Origin is a book that…had a devastating intellectual and emotional impact upon world society" (Darwin, 130, 136).

The protests of Antifa, violence against police officers, abuse within the family, the rising anarchy within American society, etc. is a direct consequence of godless Darwinism. Darwinism subverts the governmental foundation of America's Founding Fathers, and any judge that pushes the Creator of the Declaration of Independence from the American classroom promotes "might is right" anarchy.
