A Defense of the Bible as a Schoolbook

Until 1947 and following, the Christian religion exercised considerable influence upon the school children of America. In fact, a thorough study of the history of American education will reveal that from the very beginning of English colonization, Bible reading and prayer was an important part of the classroom. The personal writings and official government proceedings of the colonial era through the middle of the twentieth century clearly indicate that America's Founding Fathers never intended for the Christian faith to be pushed from America's classroom or from the public arena in general. Bible as a Schoolbook Dr. Benjamin RushDr. Benjamin Rush was one of three of the most important Founding Fathers—the other two being George Washington and Benjamin Franklin. Dr. Rush was one of the most deeply committed evangelical leaders of the Founders and exercised considerable influence upon American life prior to and following the American Revolution. In his essay, A Defense of the Use of the Bible as a Schoolbook, Dr. Rush addressed his thoughts on this important matter to Rev. Jeremy Belknap, of Boston. To truly understand how important this matter was to one of the most important Founding Fathers, you too will also wish to read Dr. Rush's essay, A Defense of the Use of the Bible as a Schoolbook.Bible as a Schoolbook Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. The Supreme Court Declares America a Christian Nation: Booklet

On February 29, 1892, The Supreme Court declared (in Holy Trinity v. United States) that the historical record of America overwhelmingly demonstrated that the United States "... is a Christian nation." Contrary to this historical and legal record, judges throughout the end of the twentieth and beginning of the twenty-first centuries have repeatedly ruled against the place that Christianity has enjoyed in American life. Rather than render decisions consistent with the legal foundation of America, activist judges have taken it upon themselves to attempt to establish a new foundation for American law—that being the subjective opinions of liberal activist judges. Thousands of pieces of evidence exist that demonstrate that America was founded as a Christian nation, and Holy Trinity v. United States is only one of the many pieces of that mosaic.America a Christian NationDealing with America's early history, Justice David Brewer identifies America's Christian origin in detail. Few Americans are aware that the Supreme Court ruled well in advance concerning America's Christian heritage and the relationship which the Christian Faith sustained to the nations' legal foundation. Power Through Prayer

For more than a century, Edward McKendree Bounds (August 15, 1835 – August 24, 1913)—generally referred to as E. M. Bounds—has been one of the most highly read authors on the subject of prayer. His books have been read and treasured by thousands of ministers and laymen alike. Unimpressed by novel principles and practices, Edward urged the American Church in the late-nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries to resist the liberalism that was sweeping the nation under the guise of Darwinism and embrace the simple truth of the claims of the Gospel. The work reprinted in this volume was the first of his books on prayer to be published in his lifetime. It was originally printed as Preacher and Prayer in 1907, but was subsequently retitled as Power Through Prayer. Together with a biographical introduction, it is printed in its entirety in the following pages and sent to press with the hope that the life and legacy of one of God's most faithful ministers might be extended to further glorify the Lord whom he so faithfully served. Media Presentation: Slavery and the Founding of America

The attack against the legitimacy of America's origin and government began in the first decades of the twentieth century. One of the means of attack against America and its Founders has been the issue of slavery. Marxists and the Left have argued that America was racist from its inception, and for this reason must be dismantled and replaced with a form of socialism that is allowed to mutate into Marxist communism. In his media presentation, Slavery and the Founding of America, Dr. Stephen Flick rehearses the historical facts which demonstrate that America was not founded as a racist nation. Arguing that Marxists, Darwinists, and Muslims have no right to moral voice on this subject, Slavery and the Founding of America further discusses the historical setting of global slavery, the enslavement of American Indians by fellow Indians, white servitude, the rise of black slavery, the abolition efforts of Christians, the efforts of Founding Fathers to end slavery, the role of the Democratic Party to maintain slavery, and the influence the Democratic Party exercised in the racist policies of Adolph Hitler. To schedule a presentation of Slavery and the Founding of America at your business, church, conference, or other gathering, please navigate to the speaker request form by clicking the button below. The cudgel most frequently used against the moral integrity of America’s Founding Fathers by Marxists and adherents of the Left is the issue of slavery.
