ListenIn 461, Patrick passed from this life. Tradition suggests his body was placed upon a wagon to which were harnessed two young unbroken bullocks which were allowed to wonder about. Where they stopped, at Dun-Lethglaisse (now known as Downpatrick), there Patrick was buried. Later, a church was built above his grave, and like many Christian leaders, he was venerated and worshiped by other Christians—something that Jesus Christ never intended for his servants.
